Our 2020 World Cancer Day activities are delivered in partnership between the Cancer Clinical Academic Group (led through UNSW Medicine), Translational Cancer Research Network (TCRN) and Centre for Oncology Education, Research and Training (CONCERT).
Our research work spans the laboratory sciences, clinical practice and health policy, delivering real world impact. We work in a collaborative framework that includes five health networks and more than 30 health, education and research sites across the state. Together, we support more than 2 million people in our local area. The research we lead benefits the health of our local community and people around the world.
The Translational Cancer Research Network (TCRN) is a translational cancer research centre program funded by the Cancer Institute NSW and is a collaborative and interactive cancer research community based in the South East of Sydney, with links to cancer services and researchers in inner and southern Sydney, and Albury. It was formed to create an innovative and supportive environment for the translation of cancer research into improvements in patient care.
The Centre for Oncology Education, Research and Training (CONCERT) is a translational research centre program funded by the Cancer Insitute NSW. CONCERT exists to bring together the knowledge and expertise of cancer health professionals and researchers to facilitate translation of research generated evidence into practice to achieve better outcomes for those affected by cancer.
The Cancer Clinical Academic Group (Cancer CAG) brings together clinicians and researchers from three universities, four cancer services (with six major treatment facilities) and three Medical Research Institutes. Our combined research strength spans the translational medicine spectrum of bench to bedside and health service delivery.
Working together, our network extends to all of the organisations shown.
